POLICE DEPARTMENT
RECEPTIONIST
The City of Edina is accepting applications for the
full-time position of Police Department Receptionist. The primary objective
of this position is to maintain the front counter of the Police Department,
which includes receiving non-emergency telephone calls for the Police
Department and directing the calls and/or visitors to the appropriate
person, location, department or division.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
OF THE POSITION: Greets visitors and answers phones for the
Police Department. Sorts and distributes incoming mail and the posting of
outgoing mail. Intake of permits, copying of reports, ordering of department
supplies. Maintains front counter forms, supplies and copy room equipment.
Data entry and maintenance of records management system and other duties as
assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school
diploma required. Previous receptionist and customer service experience and
knowledge in current computer office equipment.
DESIRABLE
QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of post-secondary education and/or
experience. The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in
writing. Be proficient in working with Microsoft Office products and willing
to learn new software.
SALARY RANGE: $35,000 -
$44,795 per year
