Sports Dome Working Group
At its Aug. 3, 2011 meeting, the Edina City Council asked the Park Board to
complete an analysis and assessment of current facilities, a needs assessment
and financial feasibility study. If the Council decides to move forward, the
Park Board will then consider the issues of size of an indoor athletic facility,
available locations, programming and ownership.
At its Aug. 9 meeting, the Edina Park Board approved the creation of a
working group to conduct a public recreation facility inventory, and a
feasibility study for a sports dome/indoor athletic facility. The working group
members are are chair Todd Fronek, Joseph Hulbert, Ellen Jones, David Deeds and
Susan Jacobson.
John Keprios, Park and Recreation Director, has appointed Ann Kattreh, Manager
of Edinborough Park, as the staff liaison to the working group.
