Bump, set, spike! The City of Edina Park and Recreation
Department is forming its 2011-2012 adult volleyball leagues.
Official games will be held Wednesday evenings beginning Oct. 12. The
leagues end play in early March. This season, there will be a
co-recreational "D-level" division. Playoffs will be a double-elimination
tournament.
All players must have legal Edina residence or be employed in Edina
full-time, year round and be at least 18 years of age by Sept. 30,
2011. Temporary or part-time employees are not eligible.
"Adult volleyball is a great way to bond with your company co-workers,
neighbors or friends while getting a great workout," said Recreational
Supervisor Donna Tilsner.
The deadline to register for co-ed volleyball was Sept. 23. The deadline
to register for women's volleyball is Oct. 10. Informational packets are available at
City Hall, 4801 W. 50th St., or can be downloaded below.
