The Edina Park & Recreation Department is forming its 2011-2012
co-recreational broomball league. Registration will continue through the
beginning of December.
Each team will play six to eight league games followed by playoffs. All games will
be played outside at Weber Park, 4115 Grimes Ave. S., on Wednesday evenings.
Teams are limited to 16-player rosters.
Broomball, a popular ice game
similar to hockey, is played wearing tennis shoes, using a small ball and
stick featuring a wooden or rubber triangular head.
